This 5'8" Korean baby grand piano, a Sojin model DG-2, was manufactured in 1987. It was purchased new by a private owner in our local community and was in his home for its entire life prior to sale. It has just arrived and has been fully serviced. The piano's ebony satin finish is sometimes difficult to find in Asian pianos and is sought-after for a variety of home decors. It is a very satisfying musical instrument with a nice, full tone and it is a fantastic value for under $5,000. Don't play? Turn it into a player baby grand piano for a total price under $9,000!
This piano is set up and ready to play in our Connecticut showroom. Try it out and see what an amazing buy it is!
In the 1980s, South Korea became known in the piano community as a source for well-made and affordable pianos. The most prolific names in the Korean piano market, Young Chang and Samick, are still manufacturing pianos today. Daewoo International built a piano factory in Yeoju, South Korea in the early 1980s where they manufactured pianos under the Sojin name. Daewoo moved their piano production out of Korea in 1991 when they purchased an interest in the Ibach Piano Company of Germany.
